i had to download Treesize (free version) so that I could empy the folder. How could a PC game be this hard to remove? The folder is located in:"c:\program files\windowsapps\" hidden folder. It appears, even though I have uninstalled it, the hard drive space has not been released.Īny idea? - I've tried running the Microsoft Apps Diagnostic Tool and running WSReset.exe I decided to uninstall Forza 7 and do a clean download (4th time in as many days), however now when I look at my C: drive, the free space is exactly the same as when Forza was installed (58 GB).it should be around 150 GB by my reckoning. Today, with the latest patch release, the download kept crashing, and telling me I needed to free up space on my hard drive.I had plenty. I bought Forza 7 last week, and have still not even seen it running once. I am already over my monthly GB bandwidth limit too this month :(Įdited by user Tuesday, Novem5:48:18 PM(UTC) However, im worried if I do that I will lose the game and have to re-download. It appears I would have to delete this folder manually if I want to free the space up. I played Forza 7 yesterday and I opened it up for a bit today so my guess is the other one can be deleted? I checked my "add or remove programs" list and Forza 7 is only listed once. Both folders are using 95.6GB of space but if you look at the Last Modified date of the folder, only one of them has been used today and the other was used 3 days ago. I quickly found that it looks like Forza 7 installed twice under the "c:\program files\windowsapps\" hidden folder. After 20min of doing that I realised I had to many folders so I found a free microsoft store app called "TreeSize Free" and downloaded it. I started right mouse clicking on all my root folders and checking properties for folder size to narrow down which folder was taking up so much space I was unaware of. I ended up deleting some other games and finishing the install but something did not feel right. Something weird happened though because I had Forza 7 icons and was able to start it up but the install was not finished. After most the day downloading it, i paused it and noticed i was out of space. I was sure I had plenty to install Forza 7 though. I run 500GB solid state so not a ton of room to add games.

I noticed something not right about my hard drive space as well.
